Some mornings I find things on the ground that stop me in my tracks.
This was one of them.
A single redwood needle... perfectly formed, still holding its shape. I pressed it into clay that afternoon. What came out of the kiln was solid sterling silver, every vein and ridge of that original needle preserved forever.
This is the Wild Tip Silver Redwood Pendant. Part of my Wild Impressions collection, where every piece begins with something I found right here on my land in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
