Join me for hands-on workshops in the Santa Cruz Mountains. From silver to bronze pendants and earrings, create one-of-a-kind treasures and master metal clay techniques.
Metal Clay is pure alchemy: soft, moldable clay made from tiny metal particles. Sculpt with it, carve, and press in textures to create your design. Then, it's fired in a kiln, where the clay transforms into solid, shimmering metal.
What starts as clay becomes solid metal - a lasting piece of wearable art, forged by your imagination.

Metal Clay Silver Charm Earrings
Join me, Rae Rodriguez, and discover the magic of metal clay while crafting your very own pair of silver charm earrings. This beginner-friendly class is the perfect opportunity to make a thoughtful, personalized gift for a loved one—or treat yourself to something special!
You’ll learn how to shape, texture, and design your earrings from precious silver clay, with Rae guiding you every step of the way. Once fired, your earrings will become durable fine silver pieces, ready to wear or gift.
All materials for the silver clay and ear wires are included.

Natures Impressions: Pendant with Leaves
Transform nature’s beauty into wearable art! In this class, you’ll create a mold from a leaf or small nature object and use metal clay to craft it into a stunning pendant. Rae Rodriguez will guide you through capturing the unique textures of your chosen object.
The final pendant will be no larger than a quarter, so bring small natural objects with lots of lovely texture (such as leaves or seeds) or choose from vintage buttons provided. Some leaves and other organic options will also be available.
Materials for clay and molds are included. Unleash your creativity and create a nature-inspired pendant!

Wire Wrapped Earrings Workshop
Unleash your inner jewelry designer and create stunning, personalized earrings! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn various wire wrapping techniques to craft unique earrings that reflect your style. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, you'll be guided step-by-step by local jewelry designer, Rae Rodriguez.
Perfect for Valentine's Day: Surprise your loved one with a handmade gift, or treat yourself to a pair of beautiful earrings.
In this class, you'll learn:
Basic wire wrapping techniques
How to choose the right materials
How to create different earring dangles
How to incorporate chain, charms, and beads into your designs
If interested, bring your own charms. Otherwise Rae will provide a variety of beads and findings for you to choose from.
All materials, including wire, findings, a variety of stones, and tools are included in the materials fee.

Silver Metal Clay Pendants: Mastering Hidden & Top Bails
Explore the versatility of silver precious metal clay while learning two essential pendant-making techniques: the hidden bail and the top bail.
In this hands-on class, you’ll sculpt and refine your own one-of-a-kind silver pendant while exploring how different bail styles affect both the look and wearability of a necklace. You’ll learn how to design, attach, and finish each bail style with intention, giving your piece a professional, polished feel.
This class goes beyond the basics and is ideal for makers who want to deepen their metal clay skills. Confident beginners are welcome, especially those comfortable learning new techniques and working with fine details.
You’ll leave with your own handcrafted masterpiece, a finished silver pendant necklace, in just 5 hours.
