Patina Shore Moon is a handmade ceramic wall hanging pressed with real shell and pinecone... the textures of the California shore and forest captured together in sandy river rock clay. A rusty and cream glaze moves across the surface, warm and earthy, pooling into every groove the impressions left behind.
At the center, a brass disc — hand patinated by me in my studio until copper, gold and green emerged from the metal itself. Hung from a brass jump ring inside the moon opening, suspended on a gold electroplated chain.
The patina process is never exactly repeatable. Like the clay, like the glaze, like everything in this collection... it happened once and it won't happen again exactly like this.
This is nature inspired wall art for the wall that needs just the right thing. Small presence. Big soul.
