Look closer and the green is a forest. A light texture of swirling trees runs across the lower half, and the glaze pools in every line. An oval window opens at the center, where a stack of stones hangs. Laguna speckled buff clay, kiln fired in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, then glazed in Malachite across the lower half, with the raw clay body left bare above. Serpentine, amazonite, jade and mookaite hang below on brass, tied with dark brown leather.
