Porcelain, smooth and quiet across most of its face. At the top, a mandala crown stamped by hand, sea breeze glaze caught deep in every carved groove, warm copper tracing the edge of each ray. The pattern does not cover the piece. It rises at the top like a sun coming up over an open field and leaves the rest of the white alone. That empty space is not empty... it is the whole design. Hung on an 18 inch copper chain, warm metal against cool clay. Born in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California.
Eighteen inches puts it just below the collarbone, with room for all that white to breathe. Against a black turtleneck it reads modern and spare. Against denim, with your rings and your stack of bracelets, it reads pure boho. Same piece, two different women, and it never argues with either one.
