Porcelain stamped by hand with a mandala crown, the raw clay left matte and chalky so every carved line holds its own shadow. Sea breeze glaze floods the lower half in soft blue, glossy and pooling deep at the rim. Matte meeting gloss, right across the middle. This one was built with more heft than the rest... you feel it settle when you put it on. Hung on an 18 inch copper chain, warm and burnished against the blue. Made slow in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California.
Eighteen inches lands it just below the collarbone, out in the open, exactly where a piece like this wants to be. Against a black scoop neck. Over a linen button down with the sleeves pushed up. With the rings and the bangles and everything else you already wear... this one holds its own in the middle of all of it.
