Three discs step down in size, each pressed with sharp peaks and their mirror image. Look once and it’s clean geometry. Look twice and it’s a mountain range sitting on still water. The glaze is Antique Aquamarine... a soft sea green that settles into every line and leaves the terracotta glowing around it. Hung from dark brown leather. From a studio in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, terracotta clay, kiln fired.
At 4 inches wide and 11.5 inches tall, this vertical tiered ceramic wall hanging fits where art usually can’t: beside a doorway, down a hallway, along a narrow stretch of wall. The discs get smaller as they fall, so your eye follows the line up and the room feels taller. The warm terracotta glows against white and cream walls and sits easily with wood and plants.
