A windcatcher is a hanging piece made to move with the air. This one pairs a hand glazed emerald ceramic bead with a tassel of raw silk ribbons in orange, green and pink, hung from a brass ring. Laguna speckled buff clay, kiln fired in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, then glazed in Emerald... a deep green that glows against the silk. Brass accents catch the light.
Hang it where air moves and let it spin. In a window, on a covered porch, or on a gallery wall where a long silk tassel breaks up the hard frame lines of prints and photos.
