Cairn Diamond Moon is a handmade ceramic wall hanging pressed with wildflower... the stork's bill that blooms along the trails of the Santa Cruz Mountains... captured in sandy river rock speckled clay under a seafoam green glaze. But what makes this piece completely unlike anything else in the Gathered collection is the center opening — not a circle. A diamond. A geometric spark cut into the moon shape, unexpected and completely intentional.
Inside that diamond, a hand balanced stone stack hangs on wire — labradorite, green onyx and amazonite separated by bronze spacer beads and patinated brass accents. Perfectly imperfectly balanced. The juxtaposition of the organic clay and the geometric diamond. The ancient moon shape holding a modern spark. The soft seafoam glaze meeting the earthy stones.
